DOCTORAL PROGRAM

Course Description

DISS 701, 702, 703, 704: Dissertation (6 credits each course)

In close consultation with a designated faculty member, students complete four 6-credit dissertation courses.

At the end of this period students are expected to produce a sustained piece of original research.

The dissertation is, in a sense, the "deliverable" for the entire doctoral program and should represent the student's command of all applicable subject matter, and mastery of the full range of research methods.
